The 2012 pages are updated.
We are enjoying a lovely Marina in Carloforte, which is on Isola San Pietro, a little island on the south western corner of Sardinia. Every day we watch the thunderclouds building over the mainland, the heat and humidity levels rise, and about 5pm the clouds dissipate and the town comes alive. Siesta lasts from 1.30 to 5pm and boy do they need it - with the humidity the temps are well up in the high 20 -low 30 degrees C.
We are doing a lot of reading this week as we have both had wonky tummies - gin seems to put it right but not sure its helping us recover!
We are hoping to catch up with a friend we met in Alghero last August and who keeps his Menorcan boat here, so we may decide to stay a few extra days. As always its weather dependent - we need anything but westerlies to get to Gib, but we are not in a rush and have 3 months to get to Canary Islands so will see how we feel after the weekend.
The Tuna Festival started last night here in Carloforte. This morning we went out for our fresh bread and discovered some wonderful stalls set up in the little streets. We will head out again after siesta and buy up some local produce.
Check back again on the 2012 pages in a few days for any further updates and also on our Flickr site for some further photos.
